General Banking
Questions
Q.
Are my First National Bank & Trust Company
deposit Accounts insured?
A. Yes, each individual
customer at First National Bank is insured by the FDIC for up to $100,000.
Q.
Can my payroll check be direct deposited?
A. Possibly, check with
your employer to see if they participate in a direct deposit program. If
they do, supply your human resources department with your routing number and
account number found on the face of your checks. Your direct deposit
typically will begin within thirty days.
Q. Can my
Social Security Check be direct deposited?
A. Yes, it's the easiest
and safest way to receive your Social Security check. You can sign up at
the Social Security website (www.ssa.gov/deposit),
call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213, or stop in at First National Bank.
Q. What is
Check Imaging?
A. Every month included
in your statement are images of your cancelled checks. Instead of getting
all your checks back and having to store them, you will get images of the
checks with multiple images on each page. These pages insert nicely into
the folder we provide for you making storage easy. Should you ever need the
front & back of a check as proof of payment, we can supply that to you. The
copy of the cancelled check will be sufficient in most cases.
Q.
What are Electronic Statements?
A. Every month, your
account statement can be emailed to you instead of mailed via US Postal
Service. The statement is mailed to you as an attached file with a
password, thus ensuring you are the only one that can view it. The big
advantage is that instead of receiving your statement 7-10 after your
statement cuts off, you would receive it within 1-2 days. Your emailed
statement will be laid our just like your regular statement and can easily
be inserted into your binder after it is printed on your home computer.
